It is a pleasure to announce the release of the first number of eKIM. This monthly publication is intended to give an overview of the main highlights of KIM, either from its chapters or examples of best practices, and it is specifically geared to our advisors and special collaborators.

KIM Madrid is set to start its operations the first semester of 2010 in the Spanish capital city with the objective of creating new markets of knowledge and innovation.

Mesquida will be responsible for promoting and implementing new strategies in KIMbcn to maintain the leadership of this entity in the field of innovation and knowledge.

KIM has published its first report on The 10 most representative technologies in Catalonia, being the first in a series about current trends in competitive intelligence.

They both participated in a meeting with the objective to promote the understanding between companies who presented their most innovative projects and venture capital firms.

This initiative, supported by the European Commission, offers an online benchmarking tool for SMEs to help their businesses grow by means of superior Innovation Management.

Dr. Henry Chesbrough, KIM´s Strategic Advisor, has visited Barcelona in March and gave some thoughts on what conditions should be met by Catalan companies on Open Innovation.
